Pak Khlong Talat market, Bangkok

Dating back to the 18th century when it used to be a floating fish market, Pak Khlong Talat is nowadays Bangkok’s biggest marketplace for flowers and vegetables.

Open 24/7, the market is most busy between midnight and the early morning hours when flower traders from various provinces arrive with their goods – some of them even come all the way down from Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in Northern Thailand, taking a brief nap before Bangkok’s florists arrive around 3AM and another round of bargaining starts.

If you consider yourself a color lover, this place should be on your list.

Pak Khlong Talat in Bangkok is located at Chak Phet Road (near Memorial Bridge and the Saphan Phut Chao Phraya pier), a short Taxi or Tuk Tuk drive from Chinatown.
