Dating back to the 18th century when it used to be a float­ing fish market, Pak Khlong Talat is nowadays Bangkok’s biggest mar­ket­place for flowers and vegetables. 

Open 24/7, the market is most busy between mid­night and the early morning hours when flower traders from various provinces arrive with their goods – some of them even come all the way down from Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in North­ern Thai­l­and, taking a brief nap before Bangkok’s flor­ists arrive around 3AM and another round of bar­gain­ing starts.
